On this first State and Federal Juneteenth Holiday, the Jim-Ree Museum has partnered with the Elbert County Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Elberton to celebrate this momentous event on the Downtown Elberton Square on June 18, 2022. This historic event, enslaved African Americans gaining knowledge of their freedom from slavery, will be celebrated from June 18, 2022, through June 20, 2022. The Jim-Ree Museum has collaborated with the Martin Luther King Committee, the Concern Citizens, the Concerned Men, and the Granite City Life Skills organizations to bring you this three-day celebration.               Back
